Step 1) Convert 2.5 feet and 8 feet into inches to make it easier. (2.5 feet=30 inches and 8 feet=96 inches).

Step 2) Find the area of the back splash by multiplying the length to the width. (30 inches*96 inches=2880 inches).

Step 3) Find the area of the tile by using the area formula as well. (2.5 inches*6 inches=15 inches)

Step 4) Divide the area of the back splash and the tile to see how many tiles fit into the back splash. (2880 /15 =192 tiles)

The answer is 192 tiles!!! :)
