Explanation:

3 7/10 - 6/10 =

We can add a 0 to the side of 6/10

Now split the numbers, whole number - whole number, fraction - fraction.

3-0 = 3

7/10 - 6/10 = 1/10

3 + 1/10 = 3 1/10

The answer is 3 1/10
