-2x + 6y = 8 ...(1)

x-3y=-3 ....(2)

we need to solve the system of equations

we will multiplicate the second equation by 2


2x-6y=-6

then we sum the equation above with the first equation


-2x+2x+6y-6y=8-6

we sum similar terms, and we obtain


0=2

that's an inconsistency

so we don't have a solution

the answer is no
