How do the tilt of Earth's axis and Earth's movements around the sun cause seasons?

on the other half of the planet that's something towards the sun it's summer on the lower half is tilted away from the Sun so it's winter

The distance between the sun and the earth gives real meaning to temperature. We revolve around the sun in an oval-like pattern. At the furthest part we're in winter, we have less heat and therefore snow [Winter] As the Earth gets closer, it gains more heat from the sun [Summer] And all the distances in between make seasons like Fall or Spring.... Our Earth's axis spins around once every 24 hours (about), and doesn't contribute much to the season.
