Although there is an overpopulation problem with white-tailed deer in the Southeastern United States, hunting is regulated. Why would hunting be regulated or limited in an area that is severely overpopulated with deer?

A) People think it is cruel to hunt animals.

B) People would think that it is okay to hunt everything.
Eliminate

C) Unregulated hunting could lead to species becoming endangered.

D) Unregulated hunting means that the government wouldn't make money.

Hunting would be regulated or limited in an area that is severely overpopulated with deer because C. unregulated hunting could lead to species becoming endangered.
Although at this point there are a lot more deer in that particular area than there should be, still it is forbidden to hunt them down indiscriminately because that could completely extinct the species.
