r was thirsty and decided to mix up a pitcher of lemonade. She put lemon juice, water, and sugar into a pitcher and stirred it to create this wonderful new drink. How could Taylor decide if she just created a mixture or a compound?

she could tell by how many components she put in. The compounds, are like the ingredients. The Mixture is all the ingredients stirred together.

Answer: Taylor created a mixture.

Explanation: When lemon juice, water and sugar are mixed, they do not combine chemically and their chemical composition does not change. They can be separated by using physical means and thus it is only a physical change.

A compound is formed by chemical combination of molecules in a definite proportion by mass.Compounds can not be separated into its constituents using physical processes.

Thus Taylor has created a mixture and not a compound.
