Mark has a mass of 55 kg and climbs up a short, steep trailbof length 300 m to reach the top of a 100 m tall cliff. Matthew, his twin brother, walks up a gentle, winding trail of length 5000 m to reach the top of the same cliff. What is the potential energy of each boy at the top?

This is slightly a trick question.

Potential energy = Mass x gravity x height.

The problem gives us the mass (55kg) and his twin brother we can assume has the same mass (55kg).

It also gives us the height (100m) and acceleration from gravity = 9.81m/s
