if 270 million people in the United States jumped up in the air simultaneously, pushing off earth with the average force of 800 N each time of 0.10 seconds , what would happen to the 5.98×10^24 kg earth?

Answer:

According to physics, Earth should move but it doesn't, because that reaction is really really tiny in comparison. The inner Earth's force is to massive and can't be affected by 800 N force.

The difference is just to big.

You are given 270 million people in the United States jumped up in the air simultaneously, pushing off earth with the average force of 800 N each time of 0.10 seconds and the earth has a mass of 5.98×10^24 kg. The earth will stay the same.
