SOLUTION

Mean=54.11, standard deviation = 12.59

X=48

Using the z formula

z=(x-\mu)/(\sigma)

Substituting values gives

z=(48-54.11)/(12.59)

Solve for z

z=-0.4853

This shows that the result shows that the value x=48 is 0.4853 standard deviation to the left of the mean.
