I assume you're allowed to use sin and cos laws here, this is a trigonometry class, yes? Here we have an angle of a right triangle, and the side adjacent to it, and we need to find the hypotenuse. Since cos = adj/hyp, it's the proper one to use here:

cos(24) = (11)/(x)

x = (11)/(cos24)
Evaluate it with a calculator to get x = 12.04 units. Make sense?

Since the triangle is right-angled at Y, we can use the sine function to find the value of X:

sin(24°) = X/11

X = 11 * sin(24°)

X = 4.65 cm (rounded to the nearest tenth)

Therefore, the value of X is 4.7 cm (rounded to the nearest tenth).

Since RY is parallel to PS, we know that angle YRS is equal to angle YSP, which is 90°.

Therefore, triangle YRS is a right triangle.

To find the value of X, we can use the sine function, since we have the opposite side (RY) and the hypotenuse (RS).

sin(YRS) = X / RS

sin(90°) = X / 11

X = 11 * sin(90°)

X = 11 * 1

X = 11 cm

Therefore, the value of X is 11 cm.
