Write the equation of a line in point slope form that goes through the points (7,-5) and (3,8)

step 1

Find the slope

m=(8+5)/(3-7)

m=13/-4

m=-13/4

step 2

write the equation in point slope form

so

y-y1=m(x-x1)

we take the point (7,-5)

substitute

y+5=-(13/4)(x-7)

If you take the point (3,8)

we have

y-8=-(13/4)(x-3)
