5×4=20 (for the square)

(2)\pi(5)=31.4÷4=7.85 (for part of the circle)
20+7.85=27.85=perimeter

Answer:

The perimeter of a figure be 27.85 ft .

Explanation:

Formula

Perimeter of a square = 4a

Where a is the side of a square .

Perimeter\ of\ a\ circle = 2 \pi r

Where r is the radius of a circle .

As the figure given in the question is consist of the square and
(1)/(4)th part of the circle .

As the length of the square side = 5 ft

Radius of the
(1)/(4)th part of the circle = 5 ft

3.14 = π

Thus

Perimeter\ of\ figure = 4a + (2\pi r)/(4)

Putting values in the formula

Perimeter\ of\ figure = 4* 5 + (2* 3.14* 5)/(4)

Perimeter\ of\ figure = 20 + (31.4)/(4)

Perimeter\ of\ figure = 20 +7.85

Perimeter\ of\ figure = 27.85 ft

Therefore the perimeter of a figure be 27.85 ft .
