Answer:

I want to visit Athens. It’s settled in Attica, a country that boundaries the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. My home, Sparta, though is located in Laconia (a section or part of Greece). Laconia is part of a more extensive territory, Peloponnesus. Argos and Corinth are cities found in Peloponnesus, a major trading (buy-sell) center. Many times, the cities in Peloponnesus operated and accomplished many things together. Other times, they argued and fought with one and another. Sparta had lots of productive and rich soil to grow food. Before Sparta conquered Athens and Athens’s defeat, Athens was the first-class and richest city in the region. It had encountered the golden era before the Spartans defeated Athens and conquered it. I learned that the social structure for Sparta is citizens, freemen, and helots. Freemen have rights, but not as many as Citizens. Helots have no rights at all, and they live the worst life in Sparta. The ancestors of freemen and citizens are often from the Dorians. Freemen have multiple job choices, like as a Merchant, Artisan, or Soldier. The citizens can be soldiers, but freemen cannot. Freemen can fight in battle as hoplites in the Spartan cavalry though. Helots are enslaved farmworkers that are owned by the Spartan Government. Spartan leaders alleged war and combat on the helots often. Even though the helots lived unhappy lives and didn’t rebel, the Spartans were fearful of this probability, since the helots had numerous amounts, more than the other social groups. The Athenians ’ social structure is Freemen, Families of citizens, Aristocrats, Citizens, Slaves. The most important and powerful social class is Aristocrats. The lowest social class is slaves. I was surprised that Athens wasn’t always running on democracy. Before, the government of Athens was an oligarchy (a government ran by a small assembly of people). This angered the people in the lower-class. Then, the leader Solon decided to make some changes. He let more than one person run the government, which is basically half democracy. Finally, Cleisthenes revised the government to democracy, which granted all citizens the power in government. The Spartan government had 2 kings ruling. There was also the Council of Elders that held 30 people over 60 years of age as members who served for life. The Council of Elders was Sparta's highest criminal court and had many tasks. The Spartan residents chose and selected five ephors. and each served 1 year with each of the five ancient Dorian villages who can also suggest new laws. The Assembly was made up of citizens over 30 years old. The Assembly elected ephors and members of the Council of Elders. The Assembly also votes on laws (it can’t propose new laws) and foreign systems. But the Council of Elders can veto or decline the Assembly's rulings as well.

Hope this helps :)

Have an awesome day!

What I would do is listen to the directions and figure out your character or the person you are going to be. After that, like the directions say, choose the place that the story is taking place in. After that, before you start writing the letter, figure out the details on the scene, like geography, the type of government, the social standings, etc.
