Western Europe abounds in various types of landforms. For example, the highest point in Western Europe is Mon Blanc in France, then the mountains in Switzerland. Then the characteristics of the relief are the hills, say in Scotland, although not only there. There are also hills in Italy, Spain, etc. as well as the plains in Italy, and along the coast in all the countries of Western Europe. What is certainly not a major landform are deserts. When the desert is mentioned, the first association is a sandy desert, like the Sahara in Africa, although the deserts can be a different composition, like rocky deserts as well as plains covered with salt. However, there are no such forms in Western Europe, and if there are any of them, certainly not as major landforms.

The answer is: deserts.
