The answer is D.
If x(x + 1) = 0, then if one of the terms equals 0 then the equation will be = 0.
Since we need to find at what number each term equals 0, set the terms equal to 0 and solve:

x=0\\\\(x+1)=0\\x=-1
So since when x = 0 or x = -1 the equation is true, those are your answers.
