I believe the equation would be y=mx+b, m being slope, b being y-intercept, so it would mean that you need to plug in the numbers. I believe the final equation would be y=1/2x+(-1)

equation of a line tha passes through thte point (x1,y1) and has a lsope of m is
y-y1=m(x-x1)
given
m=1/2
point is (2,-1)
x1=2
y1=-1
y-(-1)=1/2(x-2)
y+1=1/2(x-2)
if yo want slope intercept
y+1=1/2x-1
y=(1/2)x-2
