Explain why photosynthesis and respiration are considered opposite processes when it comes to carbon.

Answer:

Photosynthesis takes carbon dioxide, light energy and water to make oxygen and sugars. Cellular respiration takes the oxygen and sugars and makes them into energy, water, and carbon dioxide. The two processes are the inverse of one another, one releases stored energy and the other stores the energy.

Respiration and Photosynthesis is different form each other because photosynthesis removes CO2 while respiration puts back CO2
