Explanation:

Consider, one set of equation as:


y=x+3 (1)

and the another set of equations as:


y=-2x+5 (2)

From (1) and (2) we can see that the Left hand side is same, therefore equating the right hand side, we get


x+3=-2x+5

which is as given in the question.

Thus,
x+3=-2x+5 can be set up as
y=x+3 and
y=-2x+5 set of equations.
