You could estimate by rounding the two numbers before you multiply. You could solve 250 x 90 , and the answer you get would be an estimate. It'd be easier to multiply 250 x 90, than to multiply 253 x 93.

253 times 93= 23529.
If you round it to nearest tens then the answer will be 23530
