rembember you can do anything to an equation as long as you do it to both sides
minus 1/5 from both sides
4/5x+1/5-1/5=-7/5-1/5
4/5x+0=-8/5
4/5x=-8/5
now time both sides by 5
4x=-8
divide both sides by 4
x=-2

4/5x = -7/5 - 1/5
4/5 x = -8/5
X = -8/5 / 4/5
X = -2
