Do what it says; solve one of them for y. I'll do the first one:

y=6-2x

Now that we know what y is, we can substitute that into the other equation:

2x+5(6-2x)=22

Now distribute:

2x+30-10x=22

And simplify:

-8x+30=22

x=1

Now that we know what x is, just put that value into either equation to find y, I'll do the first one since we already solved for y:

y=6-2(1)

And simplify:

y=4

Now just put the values into a coordinate pair:

(1,4)
