V = 3^3 = 5^3
Volume of each cube is side^3. To find the volume of both cubes just add the two volumes together.

Answer: Total volume of ice that he can make 125+27=152 cubic. units.

Explanation:

Since we have given that

Side length of first cube = 3 units

Side length of second cube = 5 units

He having two cubes that he filled with water to make ice cubes.

Volume of first cube is given by

3* 3* 3\\\\=3^3\\\\=27\ cubic.\ units

volume of second cube is given by

5* 5* 5=125\ cubic\ units

Hence, total volume of ice that he can make

=125+27=152 cubic. units.
