what is the equation of the line that passes through (2,-3) and is perpendicular to y=x-5 in slope intercept form?

We are given that the line passes through ( 2, -3)
and that it is perpendicular to y = x - 5
the slope of the given equation is 1
the perpendicular slope will be -1
so after we graph this we find the equation to be
y = -x -1
