I have an equation that equals x, and I need to make it equal y. I've tried to do it a few times on my own and then graphed it with the original, and they're coming out different, which means I'm doing it wrong. Could someone please walk me through it? Thank you!!!

x = (y - 5)^2

to make the equation equal y
x=(y-5)^2
√x=√(y-5)^2
√x=y-5
this is because the 'root' cancels the 'square root'
√x=y-5
√x+5=y
