the equation of the line y = 1/3 (x+2)
to solve for x , multiply the whole eqaution by 3, which results to:
[y = 1/3 (x + 2)] 3
3y = x + 2
then transpose the 2 to the other side of the equation
3y - 2 = x
x = 3y - 2
so the answer of remmi is correct. i hope this can help you, feel free to ask for clarifications
