the ratio of the length of an airplane wing is 8 to 1 if the length of a wing is 33.4 meters how wide must it be

If the length of the airplane wing is eight times the width of the wing, then the width must be 33.4 meters divided by 8. So:

(33.4)/(8) = 4.175
The width of the airplane wing is 4.175 meters.
