Hello!

Explanation:

Slope:
(Y^2-Y^1)/(X^2-X^1)=(rise)/(run)

(1-7=-6)/(18-(-2)=18+2=20)=(-6)/(20)=(-6/2)/(20/2)=(-3)/(10)=-(3)/(10)

Slope is -3/10

Answer is -3/10

Hope this helps!

-Charlie

Thanks!

Your points are (-2, 7) and (18, 1). To find the slope, use the slope formula (y_2 - y_1)/(x_2 - x_1)
(18, 1) --> (x_2, y_2)
(-2, 7) --> (x_1, y_1)
(1 - 7)/(18 - (-2)) --> -6/20 --> -3/10
The slope of the line passing through the points (-2, 7) and (18, 1) is -3/10.
