Reason and proof:
suppose we have the following function
f(x) = 2x + 1
the y intercept is 1 therefor it'll intersect the y axis at (0,1)
however if the function was to be
f(x) = 2x - 1
the y intercept is -1 that means it intersect the y axis at (0,-1)
