What causes land breeze and sea breeze?

The wind will blow from the higher pressure over the water to lower pressure over the land causing the sea breeze. At night, the land cools faster than the sea, due to specific heat. So the air above the land sinks and blows towards the ocean, causing land breezes.

The sea breeze strength will depends on the difference in temperature between land and ocean. At night the roles reverse. The air over the ocean is now warmer than the air over the land.
