Enjambment means the writer moves from one line of the poem to the other without using any kind of punctuations indicating a stop or a pause (i.e. commas, periods, etc.). It forces the readers to move to the next line before processing the idea. Usually, conflicting or contrasting ideas happen between the two lines. Its purpose is to create a tension between words and thought thus fooling the reader.
