On Monday and Tuesday, Jason sold 22,6 pounds of cans, so he made s=22,5 x 0.40=9.

That means that Jason can rent 9/2.96 ≈3 movies

Hope this is helpful XD

Answer: Jason can rent 3 movies.

Explanation:

Hi, to solve this problem we have to analyze the information given:

  • Monday: 11.5 pounds of can
  • Tuesday: 10.7 pounds of cans

We have to sum both quantities to obtain the total pounds.

  • 11.5 + 10.7 = 22.2 pounds of cans (total)

Now, we have to multiply the result by the price of each pound ($0.40)

  • 22.2 x 0.40 = $8.88 (total earnings)

Finally, we divide the earnings by the price of each movie to obtain the number of movies.

  • $8.88 / $2.69 = 3

Jason can rent 3 movies.
