What shifts in population might be attributed to advances in technology and changes in regional economies during America's Industrial Revolution?

The population would have grown in the cities and decreased in the countries. This would have impacted the advancement of technology in a good way because more people were working together toward advancement. The econimies of the countryside would likley decrease and be less productive.
