The scale factor is 2, because 12 is 2*6.

Answer:

A similarity transformation maps polygon ABCD to polygon PQRS.

Now, it is not given that which polygon is mapped.

Lets solve for both.

If you want to find the scale factor of mapping from the larger polygon to smaller one then it will be =
(6)/(12)=(1)/(2)

And

If you want to find the scale factor of mapping from the smaller polygon to larger one then it will be =
(12)/(6)=2
