What information does the in-text citation "(Dolan 175)" provide the reader of a research paper?

A. The title and the page number of the quotation
B. The author's first name and page number of the quotation
C. The author's last name and the page number of the quotation
D. The publisher and the page number of the quotation

I know it's either A or D.

I think its C but don't just take my word for it.

We include in-text citation when we paraphrase, refer to, summarize, or quote from different sources. For each in-text citation in any write-up, a related entry must be present in the reference list.

This an example of APA in-text citation style. This structure uses writer’s last name with the year of publication. Direct quotations include page numbers as well. In case, page number is missing for an internet source, we utilize paragraph number.

Anyhow, in this case, "Dolan" is the author's last name and "175" is the page number of the quote. Therefore, option-"C" is correct, and others are not applicable.
