The nonresistant aphid would become extinct. This is shown by the option number 1 as we have it in the question above.

Extinction of species refers to the complete disappearance of a particular species from the entire planet. It occurs when the last individual of that species dies, and no more individuals of that species remain alive.

We can see form the third generation that the population of the non resistant has dropped so much in the third generation hence they may just likely disappear after that generation.

After looking at the graph represented above, I think I habe recognized the correct answer, so the statement which would best predict the population in generation 4 is being shown in the first option : The nonresistant aphid would become extinct. As you can see from the tree pictures, nonresistant ones gradually become lower and lower and in the last one it has the same weak position as resistant in the first picture, then I would say that nonresistant will expire soon.
