The top 3 complaints or grievances against Britain in the Declaration of Independence that I feel are important are a matter of taxes, depriving the people of a chance to prove their innocence, and the individual rights of the Americans. To further explain, the British increased the taxes on the Americans without their legislative consent, people were immediately taken to jail as prisoners with time in court, and certain Americans have had their rights taken away. I am not sure on this answer, for I am only in middle school, but I hope this somewhat helps!
