Answer:

lesser x = -2

greater x = 2

Explanation:

The values of a function f(x) are the values of x for which f(x) = 0.

In this question:

f(x) = 5x^2 - 20

So, finding the zeros:

5x^2 - 20 = 0

5x^2 = 20

x^2 = (20)/(5)

x^2 = 4

x = \pm √(4)

x = \pm 2

So

lesser x = -2

greater x = 2
