The way to get area would be Length*Width, and so we have to divide the area (264 square yards) by the side width given (11 yards) to get the length. This would equal 24,
making your answer 24 yards

Would assume the gymnasium floor is rectangular.
Area = length * width
264 square yards = L * 11 yards
264 = 11L
11L = 264
L = 264/11
L = 24
The length of the floor is =
24 yards.
