A commercial jet liner hits an air pocket and drops 274 feet. After climbing 195 ​feet, it drops another 139 feet. What is its overall vertical​ change?

It dropped 274

Then went up 195, so:
274 - 195 = 79

Then it dropped another 139, so:
79 + 139 = 218

The total vertical change from where it started was 218 feet.
