Triangle ABC has vertices A(5, 3) , B(3, 7) , and C(1, 4) . Triangle ABC is dilated, and the vertices of the image are A′(7.5, 4.5) , B′(4.5, 10.5) , and C′(1.5, 6) . The center of dilation is the origin. What is the scale factor of the dilation? 12 23 32 2

Given that triangle ABC has been dilated to form triangle A'B'C' and the vertices of ABC are A(5,3), B(3,7), C(1,4) and vertices of A'B'C' isA'(7.5, 4.5), B'(4.5, 10.5), C'(1.5,6)
then the scale factor for dilation will be as follows:
Taking corresponding vertices SAY A (5,3) and A'(7.5, 4.5)
the scale factor will be:
7.5/5=4.5/3=1.5

Answer: 1.5
