Can denominator be 0?

Let x² - x - 2 = 0 then we have x² - x - 2 = (x-2)(x+1) = 0

Then the solution would be x = 2 or x = -1, which means f(x) "break up," in other words, f(x) is not continuous at x=2 or x=-1 since it is not defined.

Thus answer is A.

Hope this helps.
