1. 2 3/4 = 11/4
1 1/2 = 3/2
3/2 = 6/4
11/4-6/4 = 5/4 or 1 1/4
2. 1/2 = 2/4
2-1 = 1
3/4 - 2/4 = 1/4
Answer= 1 1/4
