It is illegal to install bell or siren on a standard passenger car in the state of Texas because it is written in their traffic laws book that a vehicle may not equipped with and any one may not have car or vehicle that have a siren ,bell, or whistle unless the vehicle is:
First a commercial vehicle that has a theft alarm signal device and that device cannot be used as an ordinary warning signal. Secondly only an authorized emergency vehicle has a siren, whistle, or bell that complies with Section 547.702 Thirdly A vehicle operator shall use a horn to provide audible warning only when necessary to insure safe operation.Fourthly A warning device, including a horn, may not emit an unreasonably loud or harsh sound or a whistle.But it is also necessary for drivers that they must have a horn in good condition that made a sound clearly in normal situation at least at the distance of 200 feet.
