Total number paintings made by category of 7 children = 7*8 = 56
Total number of paintings made by the remaining = 3*12 = 36
Total number of paintings = 56+36= 92 paintings
Average number of paintings by all the children = 92/10 = 9.2 ≈ 9 paintings
