Answer: number of laps in given distance is 12.5 laps

Explanation:

Given:

Length of a track= 400 meters

total distance= 3.1 miles

Find:

number of laps in given distance

computation:

we know that

1 mile= 1609.34 meters

so,

total distance= 3.1 miles

total distance= 3.1x1609.34

Total distance= 4988.954/400

Number of laps in given distance= 12.4723

Number of laps in given distance=12.5 laps (Aprox:)
