Latitude is measured in degrees and the equator if 0* latitude, longitude is 90* degrees both south and North Pole. Latitude tells you something that is straight on the globe, Longitude tell you where something is horizontally on the globe.

Latitude tells you where something is vertically on a globe. For the north pole to the south pole.
Longitude tells you where something is horizontally on a globe like in the same plane as the equator. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask
