The Affirmative Action programs. This was a government solution which was established during President Johnson's administration. This was an endeavor to solve the effects of discrimination against minorities, women and African Americans. The programs had sets of rules, programs and procedures aimed at giving priority to women in the employment field and the chance for higher education and improved job opportunities for African Americans.
