point slope formula is
(y-y1)=m(x-x1) where m is slope and (x1,y1) is point. using this and substituting we find
y-6=-3(x-(-1))
simplifying we fing
y-6=-3(x+1) or B

Answer: B)
(y-6)=-3(x+1)

Explanation:

The equation ( in point slope form) of a line passing from (a,b) and has slope (m) is given by :-

(y-b)=m(x-a)

Now, the equation ( in point slope form) of the line that passes through the point (-1,6) and has a slope of -3 will be:-

(y-6)=-3(x-(-1))\\\\\Rightarrow\ (y-6)=-3(x+1)
