The area is length times width, so solve 3/5=7/8x. Get x by itself by multiplying the reciprocal of 7/8, which is 8/7, but 3/5. This gives you 24/35. The width of the park is 24/35.

3/5 converted to a decimal is 0.6.
7/8 converted to a decimal is, rounded to the nearest hundredth, 0.88.
Area=width x height, so width=area DIVIDED BY length.
