Part A
1) If 1 lap =1/4 mi, the to find length 8 laps we need
8*1/4=2 mi
2) 1 mi is 5280 ft, so
2 mi =2*5280=10560 ft

Part B
1) He already run 2 mi. He wants to run 10 mi.
Then he needs run 10-2=8 mi. He needs to run 8 more mi.

1 lap ----1/4 mi
x laps ---8 mi

x=(1*8):1/4=8*4=32 loops
So, Roger needs to run 32 more loops.

A: 8 x 1/4 = 2, so Roger ran 2 miles. 5280 x 2 = 10560, so Roger ran 10560 feet.
B. Roger already ran 2 miles, so he needs to run 8 more miles to reach his goal. 1 lap = 1/4 mile, so divide 1/4 from 8 to get 32. Roger needs to run 32 more laps this week.
